ADOPTING FROM ROVERS RETURN DOG RESCUE
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you must first submit an Adoption Application.
Please take your time and answer all questions thoroughly and honestly. The information you provide helps us match each dog with the right home based on their needs, temperament, and history.
We do not operate on a waitlist. Our priority is placing each dog in the most suitable home, not the first application received. Applications remain under consideration until the right placement is found.
Due to the volume of inquiries and our ongoing field work, we are not able to provide individual updates to every applicant who is not selected.
Our Process
Submit Application
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you must first submit an Adoption Application.
Home Check
We review your home setup to confirm it is safe and appropriate for the dog.
Meet and Greet
You meet the dog with their foster (or handler) to ensure it is a good fit on both sides.
Additional Screening (if needed)
Some dogs may require additional discussion depending on breed, behavior, or specific needs.
Final Step
If approved, you will sign an adoption contract and submit the non-refundable adoption fee (varies by dog).
IMPORTANT
If you plan to adopt at an event, you must be pre-approved in advance, including a completed application and home check. We do not approve adoptions on the spot.
We are a small, family-run rescue working directly in the field. Every decision we make is centered on giving these dogs the best possible chance at a stable, lifelong home.
